Matariki Garden
As part of the Term 2 focus of "Space: Our Future?" 8DT created a Matariki Garden. The idea came from class discussions about how the class could make a difference. During the
term, Matariki had become an increasing focus which was initiated with the Waihi Hikoi. Matariki is about new beginnings as well as planting, harvesting and celebrating. A garden planted in the formation of the Matariki constellation came out of class discussion as well as the types of plants that should be used and a list of other things that would be needed.
