Senior Council

Senior Students Council 2011

The Senior Student Council is chaired by Head Boy, Jack Kingsford and Head Girl, Awhina Oudes. The council members consist of student leaders, 4 house leaders, 2 representatives each of Year 11 and Year 12 and the BOT student representative.  The advisor of the Council is Mrs. Denise Casey, Deputy Principal of senior school.  The council meets on the first Wednesday of each month to discuss issues around the school and also look towards up coming events (sports, curture, service and academic) in each term.  The council organizes, and is involved in annual fixture sporting events such as swimming, athletics, cross-country and exchange, inter-house activites, 40 hour famine, mufti-days for supporting community appeals, SADD weeks, the School Ball, Academic Quiz for Seniors and many more.  We work as a team and our goal is to make Waihi College a better place to be!
