Year 7 and 8 Triathlon
Congratulations to all those who participated in this years Year 7 and 8 triathlon. The event is usually held in term 1 but due to poor weather, it was postponed until term 4. It was great to see so many individual entries this year and the competition really was tough with our top athletes battling it out to complete the event on their own alongside the team competitors.
BOP Multi Sport Event 2011
There are a lot of opportunities these days for students to try new things. The BOP MultiSport 2011 consisted of a run/kayak/mountain/run. All of our competitors gave it their all and we received some outstanding results for such a small team entering.
Thames Valley Triathlon 2011
This year we took 3 individuals and 2 teams to the TV Triathlon in Coromandel. The arduous journey up the peninsula was well worth the effort with the following results:
1st place Junior Girls Team

3rd place Intermediate Boys Team

Waihi College Senior Triathlon 2011
Great turnout for the senior triathlon this year. Congratulations to Miss Yeandle for her organisation.
We had lots of teams across the grades and loads of individuals compete on the day.
Next year we are hoping to take the Triathlon to the beach to make it a bit more gruelling.
We will be asking for parent helpers to marshall the event so be ready!
