This morning our Year 13 students came together with staff for one of the most special traditions at Waihi College — our Leavers’ Breakfast. It was a time to reflect, share memories, and celebrate the friendships and moments that have shaped their journey through school. Sam Bjerring gave a heartfelt speech that beautifully captured the spirit of the occasion, followed by waiata sung by both students and staff — a touching reminder of our shared whānau and connection.

Everyone then enjoyed a delicious breakfast, lovingly prepared by Ms Fitz and our wonderful staff house leaders. From there, our Year 13s are off for a day of fun and adventure racing thanks to Macca, Ms Morley, Whaea Tracey and Mrs G — a well-deserved celebration before returning tonight for the Senior Academic Prizegiving at 6pm.

Ngā mihi nui to everyone who helped make this morning so special. What a beautiful way to begin the final celebrations for our amazing Year 13s.

As always, photos from the event can be downloaded from our School Photos section of our website under Keeping Informed.
