‘Te Ara Hou’ which means ‘A New Pathway’ and offers pathways to support our students to achieve their learning in and out of school, such as WINTEC Trades Academy, PCTI Food and Manufacturing and Gateway Work Placement.  This also includes our students who have become mothers and wish to continue with their education.  We have a nursery within Te Ara Hou, which enables young mums to continue their studies with support from staff at Waihi College.

Te Ara Hou still includes our students who are O.R.S. (Ongoing Resource Scheme) funded, such as those students who attended the Memphis Centre.  These students are now attending more mainstream classes with the help of Teacher Aides, and are timetabled into use Te Ara Hou throughout the day.

You can get in touch with any of our Te Ara Hou Staff via the Staff Directory.
