Waihi College International will only accept applications from international education agents in your home country to help with school selection and the application process. Partner agents provide excellent levels of service and personal attention in your home country. They can also assist you in your home language and this helps you to make the best possible decision about your international education experience. International Student Fees
The following fee information is for all new applications to Waihi College International for enrolment between January 2025 and December 2025.

Tuition Fee:

Homestay Fee:
- When invoicing homestay fees, we will apply the homestay fee for 7 days before the first day of enrolment through to 7 days after the last day of enrolment.
- Where arrival and departure dates are known, these will be used to invoice.
Homestay Placement Fee:
- Students who change homestays more than once will incur an additional homestay placement fee of $350 for each subsequent move

Airport Transfers via Shuttle:
- $130 each way – door to door service
Insurance:
- All International Students are required to have full and comprehensive medical, personal and travel insurance from the date of departure of their domicile country until the date of return to their domicile country
- The preferred provider for Waihi College is Unicare – https://www.uni-care.org/
- We are happy to purchase a policy on your behalf – approximately $600 per year
- Should you wish to purchase your own insurance, please ensure that as a minimum, your policy is as comprehensive as the Unicare Policy – which meets current code requirements
- If purchasing your own insurance, we must have an English translated copy of the policy
School Uniform:
- Students can purchase items of school uniform during orientation days, except footwear. Plain flat black shoes/sandles to be purchase in home country. No colour other than black should be visible
NCEA:
- $400 – fee only applies to senior students wishing to sit the National Certificate of Eduction Achievement

A summary of spending can be provided at any time and ’top ups’ are possible. Any unused money will be refunded to the student at the end of enrolement. |
Outdoor Education |
All costs are approximate and vary depending on the term. There may be changes to course costs due to changes in transport costs, accommodation or the cost of course providers: |
