Our recent mufti day took on a special meaning this week, as students were invited to bring along a can or non-perishable food item in place of the usual gold coin donation. The response from our school community was truly heartwarming. Thanks to the generosity of our students and whānau, we were able to collect an incredible amount of food, which has now been gratefully received by The Salvation Army. At a time when many families in our community are doing it tough, these contributions will go a long way in providing much-needed support.
This initiative is a wonderful example of the care and compassion that sits at the heart of our school. It’s about looking out for one another and stepping up when it matters most. A special acknowledgement goes to Stella, (our Community Leader for 2026) for her leadership in organising this effort, and to our Head Students for championing such a meaningful project. Your initiative has made a real difference. To everyone who contributed—thank you. Your kindness and generosity reflect the very best of our community.
