Itinerant Lessons
Outside of our curriculum music classes (for all students from years 7-10), we also have opportunities for students to be involved in a school bands or do their own electronic music production. We also have several external music teachers who come to Waihi College several times a week, to teach our students who are interested in learning an instrument. These classes are free to our students and are offered during class time. We also offer vocal lessons at a fantastic rate.
We have many instrument options available, including: Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keyboard, Flute, Recorder, Saxophone, Clarinet and Vocal. If you would like to learn more about our itinerant music lessons, contact Mr Randell.

Bands
We have a school rock band, a concert band and are developing a junior brass band. If you would like to create your own band, join an existing one or discuss ideas – please chat with Mr Randell. He can make anything happen!
