Ready To Make A Real Impact? Next year, our school is boosting our SADD group—Students Against Dangerous Driving! This isn’t just another group, it’s a student-led movement for years 9-13 where you can make a powerful difference in our school and community. As a SADD member, you’ll be on the front lines, helping to shape the conversation around road safety. You’ll run an engaging activity during lunch once a each term, educating your peers on making smart choices that keep everyone safe—not just them, but their friends, family, and the whole community. SADD offers incredible opportunities that go far beyond our school. Imagine attending national conferences and workshops where you can meet like-minded students and grow your leadership skills. Next year, these conferences will be in Cambridge and Dunedin! For Year 12s, there’s even a chance to apply for the National Leadership Programme, a highly sought-after role where you’ll advocate for road safety on a national level. All these experiences will give you valuable skills that will look fantastic on your CVs and university applications. Four students from each school will get the opportunity to attend the Waikato Regional Workshop on Thursday, March 19th. This is your chance to see what SADD is all about and kickstart your journey to becoming a leader in road safety. Please register asap. Don’t just talk about it—do something about it! This is your opportunity to gain powerful new skills, make a real difference in road safety, and become an advocate for change. Join SADD today! If you are interested in joining the SADD group and can commit to an activity each term, please email Wendy at wendys@waihicol.school.nz or come and chat to her.
