The first of the Year 9 Tangaroa trip days got off to an awesome  start this week! Tui and Kererū students immersed themselves in the rich pūrākau of Tuhua, explored the fascinating marine life in the rock pools, and learned about the precious Dotterel nesting sites at Waihi Beach.

The afternoon brought even more excitement as students were treated to thrilling rides on the  local Coastguard’s brand-new jet ski  followed by awesome water activities in the sea.

A massive thank you to our special guests Kataraina & Mahana Magee, Stuart Atwood, Sam Dunlop and Luke Butler and all the contributing teachers for making the day  memorable!
