A huge thank you and well done to everyone who supported and took part in our recent Maths Mind competitions. As expected, it was a little bit chaotic – but in the best way possible – and it was fantastic to see so many students getting involved and having fun with Maths.
A special acknowledgement to our senior students who assisted with marking and scoring on the day. They did a fantastic job helping everything run smoothly.

On Thursday August 14th four Year 9 students and four Year 10 students also travelled to Aquinas College to represent our school at the Bay of Plenty Maths Mind competition. Whilst unfortunately we didn’t come away with any prizes all students involved gave it their all and can be proud of their efforts. These students were:
Year 9: Chirawat Upex, Reuben Carey, Kate Goodwin, Brooklyn Archer
Year 10: Elijah Cornes, Eli Townsend, Alex Townsend, Thomas Carson
Also big thanks to Miss Morley’s Year 10 Literacy class that did a sterling job helping out with the Year 7 and 8 competitions. One final special mention to Luke Stephens and Connor Peters for their technical assistance with both of the school competitions.
