You may have spotted Nikita and Kyha around Waihī College in their bright pink vests. As our 24/7-7 Youth Workers, they’re here to support our students, build positive relationships, and be a friendly face around the school.

Nikita and Kyha spend time around the grounds, in classrooms, and chatting with students throughout the week. You may also have seen them helping out alongside Matua Ben at the Baptist Church youth group. Their role is all about connecting with young people, offering encouragement, listening without judgement, and being someone students can talk to about whatever is happening in their lives. Whether it’s a quick chat at interval, hanging out with a group of friends, or a more personal one-on-one conversation, Nikita and Kyha are always happy to help.

Kyha also offers individual support sessions for students who would like someone to talk to. If you’d like to get in touch with him directly, you can contact him on 022 098 3290.

Most importantly, they’re both friendly, approachable people who genuinely care about our students and school community. If you see them around school, don’t be shy—stop and say hello!
