School & Community Events

Each year Waihi College puts on several events in the Waihi College Hall.

One of the largest would be the annual community Matariki concert, along with Matariki events throughout that week at lunchtimes too.  This is a whole community event with many of our primary schools and day care centres performing.  It’s always an amazing evening and everyone is welcome.

We also hold annual Talent Quests, musical concerts and drama  performances.

Students from all year levels participate in these events and they are run by our Arts & Services Coordinator, Music and Drama teachers, our Year 12&13 Leaders and our helpful senior students and staff.
