Further to my earlier message, here is an update from our Principal:
Kia Ora Whanau,
As you may know, our kura was put into lockdown just towards the end of school due to an incident that occurred in our community.
This was precautionary only. We are all accounted for and have been released to go home as usual.
Big thanks to our Police and other services attending, for their quick attention and precautionary measures to keep us safe.

Earlier today we were instructed by local police to go into lockdown. This was due to an incident that happened outside of school grounds. We were then given the all clear and instructed to release students. Buses ran as normal.

The school is currently in lockdown.  We have been advised to keep students in the classroom due to an incident that has happened within our community.  Parents are asked not to come to school at this time.  We will post again as soon as we have more information.
