As you are hopefully aware our Kura has been in the process of updating our logo and branding to better reflect our culture and values as a College and also to ensure consistency in the way we present ourselves internally and to the wider community. The updating of our logo and branding is a long term project. This is important to ensure we don’t put any undue financial pressure on our Kura and our community.
All current Waihī College uniforms will remain fully usable through to a minimum of the end of 2025. New logos will slowly be introduced where needed with old logos still a correct part of our uniforms over the coming years. One big change will be replacing our white senior student polo tops with black over the next two years as well. This will be done because of extensive feedback from students and whanau who have found white polos impractical. White polos will now not be available in the uniform shop from this point with the new black ones available from the College uniform shop from Jan 15, the earliest they can be delivered. Please note again all white polos with the current logo remain as part of our uniforms through to the end of 2025.
We will also be updating all of our sports uniforms as needed. We want to ensure consistency across all of our sports and bring them into line with our new branding. We’ve been liaising with students , staff and community on this and have a great design in production. Thank you to everyone who have been part of this vision for our Kura.
