North Island Secondary Schools Mountain Biking

Well done to Tate Randell who competed at the recent NISSMTB Champs.

Tate had a great time as the sole rider representing Waihi College at the North Island Secondary Schools Downhill Mountain biking championships held in Rotorua on Monday 18th March. The track was a massively challenging grade 5 on the New Zealand downhill track, Taniwha.

He managed to hit some new jumps and get his speed up well but unfortunately had a crash in his race run which set him back. We are still extremely proud of his time of 5:24:46 and 36th place. No injuries, new friends made and a great time all round .
